This 7" has got my anticipation of their upcoming CD on Rise Above cranked up into the red. Total retro 70's hard rock proto doom madness. No surprise there as the mainman of the band is ex-Norrsken guy Magnus Pelander and this single's dedicated to Bobby Liebling and Roky Erickson. The A-side "No Angel or Demon" is a great song, it's style landing somewhere between 70's Pentagram and Witchfinder General, with the guitar leads jumping in with a seering clarity similiar to the UFO circa "Force It". Seriously you could play this for a friend and convince them it was a long lost 70's gem. The B-side "You Bury your Head" continues to showcase the songwriting skills on offer and is slightly heavier than tha A-side, though in the same vein. Apparently the other musicians on this are gone, but Magnus has recruited new ones and a
full length is due later this year. If they can keep up this kind of quality it's gonna be a must have.
