Remember that retro-rock that we talked about before? Well, you can find it all on Primitive Art Records--including the new 7" from Sweden's WITCHCRAFT--killer 70's influenced hard rock, with a twist--it is new! It was not from someone's "lost" master tapes, recorded in someone's basement in '72, and recently unearthed by Geraldo Rivera (no relation to James Rivera, I hope!) This stuff goes to prove that like fashion, music also comes full-circle, and comes back into popularity again. The band consists of Magnus Pelander on guitar and vox, John Hoyles on guitar, Jens Henriksson on the skins, and Ola Henriksson on bass (I don't know if the two Henriksson's are related or not....) This is a solo project of Pelander's, he is also in NORRSKEN, and writes their material. Any fans of early PENTAGRAM, NECROMANDUS, or even a little SIR LORD BALTIMORE can expect BIG things from this newcomer. Check out this band and their label...the label claims "Obscurity since 1993".... Well maybe not after my millions of fans re ad this review.... By the way, on the back of their packaging for this 7", there are the words "stoner rock" with a circle around it and a line through it.if you music comes from the 70's, and it is rock-n-roll, ...well you do the math. Now, where are my bell-bottoms and my love beads.....
